Smart Ring for Health, Fitness and Sleep

Sizing Kit - Design Support Packaging + Rings

Before you order your Oura Ring, you receive a sizing kit with twelve different rings that you can try on for 24 hours to find your perfect size. During my time at Oura, I helped to design the sizing kit. Gen 3 had a plastic, bulky tray, which is now replaced by a sleek sustainable pulp tray. I am happt to be part of the pending patent application. I also helped to design the packaging and the sizing rings.

User Interviews for Charging Experience

For the overall experience with Oura, it is important to also consider the charging experience. There is a special charger for the ring, which has a LED as indication. I organized several co-creation interviews with external users to investigate together what are the most important components that are needed, so a pleasant experience is offered.

Oura Gen5 - The smallest smart ring ever.

During my time at Oura, I supported the design time in the process of Gen4, which was in its final stage and Gen5, the smallest smart ring ever. I participated in over twenty user interviews, where we went to peoples home and asked them about their goals and wishes regarding their health and how Oura could support them. Another goal was to pitch different shapes to users and it became clear that they were longing for the smallest shape possible to be as little intrusive as possible.
