Health wearable that detects early signs of heart diseases before you feel anything.
Every 1.5 seconds, someone dies from Cardiovascular Disease (CVD), often only after severe symptoms arise. Sona aims for a proactive healthcare future by introducing a wearable neck cuff that uses ultrasound to detect early arterial plaque buildup, which leads to heart attacks. By recognizing these warning signs early, individuals can take preventive measures. This initiative is supported by the CIMT Research Group at Norrlands University Hospital, in collaboration with healthcare professionals and insights from patients with heart disease. Our goal is to transition cardiovascular care from reactive to preventive, empowering individuals to manage their heart health and save lives.

Accurate heart health checks with ultrasound.
Sona utilizes a simple version of ultrasound, which is known for pregnancy scans. Ultrasound is able to look inside neck arteries and check for plaque build-up, which can be an early sign of CVD. An innovative gel pad allows for a smooth measurement without failures.
